Welcome to the Jewish Joint Burial Society’s web site. Our aim is to explain how we work, to help you deal with the death of a loved one at a difficult time.
If you are a member of one of our London member synagogues then we will arrange the funeral at the Western or Woodland Cemeteries at Cheshunt. National Synagogues generally use dedicated areas of municipal cemeteries and we will reimburse you for your funeral fees paid locally.
If you wish to join our scheme then you need to join a synagogue, you cannot join directly as an individual. The Society can arrange funerals (burials or cremations) for people who are not congregants of one of our member synagogues.
