Amended 19 August 2021
Both the Woodland and the Western cemeteries at Cheshunt are open to visitors.
Although the government have lifted restrictions, the JJBS and the Cemetery request that face masks continue to be worn, and that gatherings are restricted to 50 people. This is to continue, at a time of rising infections, to protect our rabbis, staff and vulnerable people who may not have been able to have the vaccination or for whom the vaccination is ineffective.
For the time-being, stone-setting services will be held at graveside, and funerals will be outside.
We expect everyone to strictly follow the government rules on self-isolation and quarantine when either symptomatic with COVID-19 symptoms, having had a positive test, or having recently been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. Any person in one of these categories should not visit the cemetery in any circumstances.
We thank you for your cooperation and patience during these challenging times.
